About
The Supersports Racecar Association is a QLD based club which promotes prototype sports car racing in both Queensland and Interstate. Basically if you own a purpose built, non production car based, sports car it is probably eligible to race with us.
The Club predominantly caters for cars from Motorsport Australia categories 2A, 2C, 6SR and Sports 1300 Clubman. These categories provide a basic set of rules and safety requirements that cars can be built to. If unsure, get in touch because we still may be able to help get you onto the track.
This is not a class that’s here today and gone tomorrow. We’ve been around since the 1960’s with cars like Mallocks, Centaurs, Farrels, Lotus, Westfields, ASPs and many more. Any historic sports car can race with us Kaditchias, Lolas, Elfins, Mclarens, Sports 2000’s.
Nowadays we have factory cars Radicals, Wests, Stohrs, Normas, Tatuus, Minettis and home built cars like the Phantom.
The Supersports Racecar Association is also the administrator of the QLD Sportscar Championship which races at Motorsport Australia (previously CAMS) circuits at Morgan Park and Queensland Raceway.
More information about this series can be found here – QLD Sportscar Championship
Cars racing with us are also eligible to race in the NSW Supersports Series and also the Australian Prototype Series.
At Supersports Racecar Association we have strict driving standards and a Driving Standards Observer (DSO) to make sure any car to car contact is rare and dealt with when it happens so there is much less chance your car will be damaged on the race circuit.
You will find the Supersports friendly, welcoming and always ready to help if it’s needed so get on and say hi and look forward to catching up soon.
